Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event were held at Ninomiya Elementary School in Ninomiya-machi

On October 29, 2023, Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event was held as part of the 37th Fureai-hiroba, an outdoor event held at Ninomiya Elementary School in Kanagawa.

The Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event is an initiative that allows medical institutions to use the My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate with a sense of security by allowing them to experience the identity verification and consent to provide information by the My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate using a card reader equivalent to those actually installed at medical institutions.

In the past, experience events have been held at stations and city halls as places close to the people of Japan. This time, however, we held the event for the first time at a local outdoor event so that local people could invite each other to participate and more people could have memorable experiences.

Experience observation by Minister Kono

Mr. Kono, Minister for Digital Transformation, also visited Fureai-hiroba and experienced My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate with visitors and local people.

After the visit, the Prime Minister told a group of reporters that although it was his first time to hold Use of My Number Card as a Health Insurance Certificate Event at an outdoor event, he was relieved that the readings were highly accurate. He added that he would like to hold Snow Festival at about 100 locations across the country in the future.
