Verification test Concerning Use of My Number Card at Golf Courses

In order to expand face-to-face My Number Card usage scenes such as stores, we will start a verification test with Golf Digest Online Inc..
Overview of verification test
At this verification test, we will examine the utilization of golf courses. The use of My Number Card is expanding in various areas, and in order to further promote its use, it is necessary to promote face-to-face use. In order to create opportunities for people to carry My Number Card around and use them face-to-face at stores and other places, we will start verification test at golf courses based on face-to-face reception. We will also experiment with whether it will lead to tourism promotion by linking the use of golf courses to tours of the local community.
In this verification test, we will evaluate and verify the effects and issues regarding the three items listed in Validation Content.

From September 30, 2024 to the end of January 2025 (planned)

Validation Content
- Simplification of reception
In the past, users had to handwrite their name, address, and date of birth on a paper reception form. However, by holding a My Number Card over the facial recognition terminal at the reception desk and performing facial recognition, the reception can be completed. We will verify whether this improves convenience. - To improve the efficiency of golf course management
We will verify whether it will lead to labor saving in reception work and efficiency improvement in clerical work related to golf course use tax. - Promoting tourism in surrounding areas
By conducting discounted sales of local specialties and tourism PR based on address attributes at facilities in the area surrounding the golf course, we will verify whether the use of the golf course leads to a tour of the area and whether tourism promotion can be expected.

At the reception desk of the golf courses subject to this demonstration, check-in can be completed quickly just by holding a My Number Card and performing facial recognition. Therefore, it will be very convenient for golfers and golf courses. After the four month demonstration, we will identify issues and connect them to DX for the entire golf industry, including the possibility of utilization in the core systems of 2,000 golf courses nationwide and golf practice range facilities.
